Rubber Duckie Hunt

On Friday 19th March, The Enterprise Gym ran it’s first ever ‘Rubber Duckie Hunt’. Members, some in fancy dress, followed a trail of clues around campus to find a total of ten rubber duckies. Each duck was accompanied with a question about enterprise and business which the teams had to answer correctly in order to win the challenge.

The winning team, with correct answers to all questions and fastest to find the ducks was “Daffy Ducks” who win a corporate box at Ibrox for a match, where they will be treated to a pre match meal with our friends at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Second place, only a few seconds behind was “Smarty” who win £150.

Smart Farm” came in third winning £50 along with the prize for the best costumes on the day adding and free meal at Braes to their prize total.

The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all members who took part. Thanks goes to Enterprise Rent-A-Car, SIE, and Braes for providing the prizes and to Apex Hotels for supplying the ducks!

DIGITAL MEDIA FOR GOOD

How can digital media make real social impact? How can you get help to turn your ideas using technology into projects that make a real difference in Scotland?

FirstPort seeks to identify, advise, connect, encourage and seed-fund new social entrepreneurs in Scotland. 4iP is an innovation fund, created by Channel 4, to stimulate public service digital media across the UK. It supports great ideas for websites, games and mobile services which help people improve their lives. FirstPort and 4iP have teamed up to help individuals develop early stage digital media ideas and prototypes in Scotland. Together they will build the skills, capabilities and partnerships to turn prototypes into social businesses. Together, they will be giving awards of up to £5,000 to help individuals from across Scotland to turn their digital media project into a reality. 4iP will share its expertise in digital media and FirstPort will provide dedicated support including training opportunities, mentoring and access to resources to help individuals develop their skills and their projects.

This free seminar will identify what makes a successful project, featuring Lauren Curren and Sarah Drummond (snook) and their award-winning mypolice project, and give you an opportunity to ask questions and get advice from funders and partners.
