Degrees and Despair? Not for Egym Graduates!

The Graduation week is upon us. The Registry is busy, Students are frantically running around ordering capes, hoods and preparing themselves for the Graduation ball. But one question (for some graduates) may still remain - Was it all worth it?

The answer is of course YES! But as we all know graduates are now facing an ever more desperate struggle to find employment and to furthermore find a niche into which we my fit as individuals. Many of us will have faced graduate schemes where you have to test, after test after test, only to be faced with an interview in London, spending hundreds of pounds and hours getting to and from the Dragon's Den like interview panel and being grilled for 3 hours; only to be faced with the ominous "we are sorry to inform you..." email sometime later.

However, not all is lost this Graduation year, or indeed for the rest of your life.

Graduate Schemes, the daily commute and the never-ending buzz of your work phone may never come to fruition because you chose self employment.

Some turn their passions into their livelihood - why not do the same?

To find out more about why self-employment and a random degree go hand-in-hand have a look at this:

Calling Campus Entrepreneurs!

If this inspires you or you want to find out more about support for entrepreneurship send an email to the Management team (j.w.a.murray@dundee.ac.uk) or turn up to our events throughout the semesters.
